With over 20 years in regulatory affairs and policy strategy, Sannie began her career at Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority, rising to Branch Director in the Health Products Regulation Group over nearly eleven years. During this time, she represented Singapore in the WHO prequalification program, the ASEAN Pharmaceutical Products Working Group, and the Australia-Canada-Singapore-Switzerland (ACSS) Consortium, focusing on work-sharing initiatives.
In 2014, Sannie joined F. Hoffmann La-Roche as Asia Pacific Lead, where she shaped regulatory policy to expedite convergence and improve patient access. She monitored key performance indicators in APEC, optimized reliance pathways, and co-championed biotherapeutics initiatives for the BIO coalition.
Currently, Sannie serves as Senior Director, leading the MSD Global Regulatory Policy Asia Pacific team. Leveraging her extensive network and strong government affairs contacts across APEC markets, she drives efficiency and sustainability in regulatory environments through digital transformation initiatives.
Sannie holds a bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Hull in the UK, and she completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the USA.
